The Engineering position plays a key role in how our clients view the California Closets dedication to delivering on quality products, innovative solutions, and white glove service. This position is the liaison between Sales/Design and Production, ensuring a seamless delivery of accurate CAD files. It also links to purchasing, delivering accurate information for Purchasing to successfully fulfill on all Special Orders.

Essential Duties

• Ensure all CAD files are accurate to needs of Client, designer, Standard Product guide and Standard Production practices.
• Ensure that defects are kept to a minimum
• Speak with Design Consultants on an as-needed basis for pre-sale complexity reviews to provide consultation on unsold jobs:
• CAD direction
• Construction direction
• Product direction
• Meet with departments on an as-needed basis to perform Complexity Reviews of sold jobs and ensure that all details of the job are finalized
• Produce PDF files of the final CAD design for Production and Installation Departments
• Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization

Qualifications--

• Strong Quantitative Math skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing environment preferred
• CAD experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy when interacting with others
• Superior computer skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel User
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to think strategically and analytically

Note: Experience in civil engineering or architectural design is preferred but not required.

Pay: $51,546.34 - $62,077.32 per year
