JustinBradley client, a global leader in media and streaming services, is looking for a talented Writer/Producer to craft its flagship newsletter on a temporary basis.

Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role

• The Writer/Producer works closely with the newsletter Editor to select articles, videos and other content to feature in the flagship newsletter. They write the newsletter Monday – Friday, crafting a summary of top news of the day and feature content in time for edits to take place before the email’s 7am ET send each day.
• The Writer/Producer is also responsible for writing a weekly news quiz.
• As part of the Newsletter-Audience Strategy team, they will help identify and execute opportunities to enhance the current newsletter, ensuring the newsletter resonates with audiences.

Must Have Skills / Requirements

• 5+ Years of news writing or reporting preferred.
• Strong News Judgment
• Previous experience working for News Organization, understanding the nuances associated with writing and editing roles within News Orgs.
• Must be comfortable and have experience working with changing deadlines and keeping communications organized.

Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements:

• Knowledge base on communication apps – ability to jump between messaging channels to keep up with Team communications.
• Ability to follow breaking news closely without instruction or guidance. News awareness.
• Understanding of newsletter audience strategy and success metrics is preferred.

Education / Certifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field of study or equivalent experience.

Additional Notes:

• This is a swing shift role. Candidates must be able to work during Hong Kong Standard Time hours. Please include in the Cover Sheet that the candidate has confirmed to working overnight shifts.
• Remote position – Anywhere in the US.
