Web Developer
Location: Remote (offices in Redwood City CA, Boston MA, Lehi UT)

Split is looking for a Web Developer to support our marketing website. This is a hands-on position where you will be working end-to-end, planning, building, testing and deploying solutions in partnership with your marketing teammates.

The right candidate is a detailed, organized self-starter and the ultimate team player. You should bring a keen perspective on how the site should be improved for performance and usability for the day-to-day marketing users.

You will have a strong background in running a website handling both the technical complexities and creating optimized, user-friendly pages and modules working in collaboration with cross-functional teams and external agencies.

• Manage our CMS (WordPress) to a create a scalable and easy to use user environment
• Maintain a development process that is repeatable and allows for quick iteration
• Build/update blocks, themes, page templates and plug-ins for the website using WordPress
• Ensure that our website is fast and optimized for search engines
• Manage our compliance with data protection frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues
• Work with marketing and design teams to build new pages when needed
• Collaborate with members of the marketing team including Demand Gen, Segment & Product Marketing and Creative & Content Services
• Support the relationship between Split and external web development agencies

We Believe in Bold: About You

• 3+ years of experience with Wordpress development
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript
• Strong experience building and implementing WordPress templates, themes, functionality & plugins
• You write code that can be easily understood by others, with an eye towards maintainability
• Strong understanding of front-end and back-end website development
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with a preference for a computer science-related field
• Experience supporting a Marketing team with a focus on making their lives easier
• Proven time management skills, ability to adjust priorities and handle multiple tasks while paying attention to detail and meeting deadlines
• Technical SEO best practices in development and site management.
• Portfolio of work delivered for business/enterprise in a professional capacity
