Job Description:

Star Catcher Industries, Inc., located in Jacksonville, FL, has an opportunity for a Technical Storyteller to support the growth of the Star Catcher brand and the broader mission of building the world's first orbital power grid. This role will be responsible for translating complex technical concepts into compelling content across owned channels — including social media, blog posts, white papers, and other marketing assets — to engage customers, partners, investors, and the broader space community.

Responsibilities

  1. Researching, writing, and editing high-quality content including blog posts, LinkedIn thought leadership pieces, white papers, case studies, and web copy that accurately represents Star Catcher's technology and mission
  2. Translating complex engineering and physics concepts — such as power beaming, optical systems, orbital mechanics, and space infrastructure — into clear, engaging narratives for technical and non-technical audiences
  3. Managing and executing Star Catcher's social media presence, with a primary focus on LinkedIn, to build brand awareness and support company growth
  4. Collaborating closely with engineering, business development, and executive leadership to gather technical inputs and ensure content accuracy
  5. Supporting the development of sales enablement materials, investor communications, and event content
  6. Collaborating with internal and external partners to develop high-quality multimedia assets for social media, whitepapers, and other marketing collateral
  7. Contributing to SEO/AEO/GEO and content strategy to grow organic reach and strengthen Star Catcher’s status as a thought leader in the orbital economy
  8. Tracking content performance and using data to refine strategy and improve outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

  1. 2–4 years of experience in content marketing, technical writing, or science communication, preferably within the space, science, defense, or technology sectors

Ideal Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Aerospace, or a related STEM field
  2. A portfolio of published, publicly available writing/content samples, particularly in space, tech, science, or related technical fields

Desired Skills

  1. Demonstrated ability to write accurately and compellingly about technical subject matter
  2. Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt voice and format for different audiences and channels
  3. Familiarity with social media strategy, particularly LinkedIn, and content performance metrics
  4. Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment
  5. Effective collaboration skills with the ability to interface across engineering, product/business development, marketing, and executive teams

Help us deploy and scale space infrastructure that will drive our utilization of space forward! We offer a highly competitive benefits package.
