We are representing an exciting opportunity for a Structural Fabrics Designer to join a pioneering aerospace startup. This role involves designing innovative fabric solutions for various applications within the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop advanced structural fabric solutions for aerospace applications, including concept creation, prototyping, and testing.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed design specifications and prototypes remotely, with occasional onsite presence during fabric build and assembly stages.
• Research to enhance product performance and efficiency, focusing on fabric material properties and structural integrity.
• Ensure designs comply with quality standards and project timelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in structural fabrics design, with a strong portfolio, prioritizing:
• Fabric (soft structures) design experience in industries such as Yachts, Sails, Airships, Stratosphere balloons, and Large inflatables, including proficiency in CAD.
• Aerospace Design experience, particularly in aeronautics/aviation, with CAD proficiency.
• Familiarity with fabric material properties and testing experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in hybrid roles, combining remote and onsite work as needed.
