Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Special Education Teacher (RSP Teacher) to join our team of professionals at one of our schools. As a Special Education Teacher (RSP Teacher), you will provide push-in services, working collaboratively with general education teachers in inclusive classrooms to support students with diverse learning needs. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on students' educational journeys while serving as a valuable resource to both students and teachers.

 

Pay Rate: $64,480.94 - $91,933.00Annually

Location: Los Angeles, CA.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (school operating hours)

  • Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree (Master's Preferred)
  • California Clear or Preliminary Resource Specialist Teaching Credential
  • Mild/ Moderate or Moderate/ Severe
  • Confident computer technology skills
  • Experience working in an IB world school
  • Recent and relevant professional development in teaching and learning
  • Experience and/ or knowledge of backward planning to develop learning units
  • Proven ability to work in an urban school environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Preferably Bilingual in English and Spanish

 

  • Responsibilities:Develop educational plans (IEPs) to address the unique needs of exceptional students.
  • Evaluate students to identify their specific educational requirements.
  • Coordinate services for students, ensuring streamlined instruction and a cohesive program.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure proper service delivery and adherence to due process.
  • Schedule services for students to provide efficient and effective support.
