Right now, we are looking for an outstanding, brilliant, and driven Software Engineer to join our growing team. While our Software Engineers are involved in multiple things throughout the Technology organization, primarily they are responsible for building highly scalable software frameworks, establishing high-quality coding and SDLC practices, and providing instruction to Technology team members on the proper usage of new technologies.

What You'll Do

1. You will join a team of full stack engineers to build new features for our web applications, as well as support and maintain them
2. You should expect to move up and down the software stack, writing client-side JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, server-side PHP and the SQL statements for the products you release
3. Collaborate with Product, UX and other engineering teams to solve difficult problems and design new features
4. Scope out technical designs that enable your team to execute on proposed solutions
5. Upgrade legacy apps and code to modern frameworks and technologies
6. Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of learning and teaching
7. Embrace an agile development process that emphasizes test automation, code reviews, and fast release cycles
8. Be a communicator! Have opinions and the ability to justify them - we want to know what you think

What You'll Need

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
2. 2+ years of professional full stack web development experience
3. Object-oriented programming (we’re mostly PHP)
4. Relational databases (we use MySql)
5. Modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue (we use Vue)
6. JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and/or MVC Frameworks
7. Unit and integration testing methodologies
8. Distributed system architecture and asynchronous processing using queues (AWS SQS)
9. Automated production logging, monitoring and alerting
