Midnight Society is a AAA game development studio building a PvPvE online multiplayer game that leverages a platform focused on providing early access to our pre-launched titles, ability to trade and sell entitlements earned in games.

Our early Access Pass model, currently in its Founder’s stage, has over 400k users signed up within a week to participate with 10k already approved and playing early Snapshot builds. Our approach and studio is currently backed by founders who are veterans of the game industry with multiple past exits, several prominent venture capital firms, angel investors, and influential strategic partners.

At Midnight Society, we see multimedia design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. We are looking for an energetic, hands-on and creative Graphic / Multimedia Designer who can ideate, inspire feedback and create visual and animated representations in social media. Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of image and motion graphics software and be skilled with every step of the design and animation process from concept to the final deliverable. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of social media platforms and trends and instill them into studios narrative and posts across different social platforms. Collaborating with the marketing team at our company, the Designer should be able to ideate as well as take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into assets that connect.

In this role you will

• Create still and animated images for social media, broadcasts, and other platforms that align with our visual brand identity and narrative
• Start a project from scratch without needing any sketches/excessive directions
• Collaborate, Ideate, instill feedback and capture requirements ensuring designs meet studio narrative and brand expectations
• Be able to iterate and/or make edit swifty
• Occasional after effects, gif/video editing, re-sizing, and TikTok/IG filter creations
• Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with marketing team, meeting deadlines, and scheduling project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
• Any 3D asset tinkering experience or willingness to learn/explore is encouraged
• Examine existing processes, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve design capabilities
• Update and maintain internal databases of designs, photography, and video assets
   

The ideal candidate will possess

• Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
• A demonstrable portfolio of social media assets, preferably gaming related
• 3+ years experience with design software, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects, etc.
• A thorough understanding of social media platforms and trends, what attracts attention and engagement
• Knowledge of social and web layouts, graphic fundamentals, visual composition, logo, typography
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Being a passionate gamer or having work experience in a gaming/esports company is a huge plus!
   

Bonus Qualifications

• 3+ years in professional multimedia, preferably with a creative or marketing agency
• Knowledge of Blender, Cinema 4d, Unreal Engine and/or proficiency with photo-editing software
• Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems a plus
