Senior Finance Associate

A world-class biotech venture capital firm with over $1 billion in assets is hiring for a Senior Finance Associate. The ideal candidate will hold responsibility for everyday accounting and finance functions at this significantly growing company. Reporting directly to the Senior Controller and Chief Financial Officer, this Senior Finance Associate will work collaboratively on a variety of funds.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with quarterly fund close and annual audits by creating schedules, financial statements, and tax estimates
• Prepare documentation for portfolio company valuations
• Assess capital call and distribution notices
• Manage cash and fund-related treasury functions
• Streamline processes with team as needed
• Support team with new processes and ad-hoc tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 3 years of Private Equity, Venture Capital, Administration, or a mix of public/private experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in accounting/financial principles and procedures with the ability to learn new concepts quickly
• Project management experience with creative problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to take responsibility and initiative regarding various projects
• Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner
