We’re looking for a Sales Effectiveness Manager to join our team!

The Sales Effectiveness Manager … will focus on continuous improvement and alignment of sales and vendor strategies by evaluating the performance and effectiveness of Animal Supply Company’s (ASC) go-to-market strategies. The primary objective will be to ensure sales and vendor strategies align with business goals to drive profitability, growth, and improved sales and vendor performance.

In this exciting role, you will:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sales and vendor go-to-market strategies, processes, and tools to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to measure sales and vendor performance and identify gaps or inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Vendor Management, Strategic Procurement, Operations, and cross-functional teams to develop and implement initiatives to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Analyze sales data, metrics, and trends to identify key insights and opportunities for enhanced vendor sales effectiveness.
  • Monitor and track sales and vendor performance, providing regular feedback and guidance to optimize sales outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and training to sales teams on best practices and sales effectiveness methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain sales performance metrics, dashboards, and reports to track progress and communicate results to leadership.
  • Identify and recommend sales tools and technologies to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure the alignment of marketing and sales strategies and maximize lead generation and conversion.
  • Conduct regular assessments of sales training programs and provide recommendations for enhancements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, sales methodologies, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Do you have the following qualifications?

  • Sales & Vendor Management Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of sales principles, vendor management, customer relationship management, planning, and performance management.
  • Organization & Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective Communication: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences and understand business needs.
  • Relationship Building: Skilled in developing rapport, listening actively, understanding requirements, and providing solutions to meet the needs of cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic Thinking: Possess strong strategic thinking skills to assess market opportunities, identify competitive threats, and develop effective sales strategies to make informed decisions to drive growth.
  • Results Orientated: Must have a results-oriented mindset and possess the drive and motivation to identify areas for continuous improvement and take proactive measures to overcome challenges.
  • Analytical & Data Driven: Must be able to analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to make informed decisions to optimize sales and vendor strategies.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Possess strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire teammates, customers, and brand partners while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Adaptability & Creativity: Ability to operate in a dynamic environment where market conditions and customer needs can change rapidly, requiring creative solutions to meet evolving demands.

Your education & experience should be similar to:

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience, preferably in a sales or vendor management-type role.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales strategies, processes, and plans related to vendor partnerships.
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Sales Reporting Software, & Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook.

Working conditions:

  • Remote professional home office setting with reliable internet.
  • Be available via computer, video conferencing, and phone during business hours.
  • Be able to work outside of the core schedule, based on business needs.
  • Travel required, 25%

The estimated annualized base salary range for the Sales Effectiveness Manager $85,000-$95,000. Animal Supply Company (ASC) compensation is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to role, level, and location. In addition, ASC’s pay can vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience for each candidate for the posted position. Included in ASC’s total compensation are benefits such as medical, dental, and retirement.
