At Collins Aerospace, it’s our people who make the difference and are the backbone of our technologies. We are currently searching for an REACH/Global Chemical Substance Manager to join our team.

 

Lead the Connected Aviations Solution (CAS) SBU Global Chem Substance (GCS) Program:

  • Lead the SBU GCS team (includes all sites – MRO, OE, Offices)
  • Support resource planning and training requirements for GCS associated team
  • Lead the development of annual GCS macro plan for the SBU & site organizations
  • Lead regular GCS reviews with SBU / site leadership
  • Accountable for develop, review and implementation of GCS policies and procedures within SBU
  • Accountable for development of digital tools and processes to establish capability to meet reporting requirements; including but not limited to POL-0147 tool, specification decompositions
  • Remain informed of Work Transfers and compliance with Global Chemical Regulations to ensure continuity of supply

 

Compliance

  • Accountable for submission of ECHA reporting; including but not limited to Article 7, Article 33, and Article 66 documentation and any other regulatory reporting obligations for all CAS sites
  • Accountable for implementation of SCIP SAP tool, and submission into EU REACH ECHA database
  • Accountable for response to all GCS regulations surveys and compliance activities for the SBU and its sites

 

EU REACh Mitigation Actions

  • Accountable for coordinating with Engineering the execution of alternate technology readiness level progression through to qualification
  • Accountable for execution of financial analysis to quantify the impact of implementation of GCS compliant processes
  • Accountable for completion of capacity analysis and appropriate CapEx plan for implementation of GCS compliant processes
  • Accountable for management of GCS regulated substances in aftermarket documentation

 

Customer Interaction

  • Accountable for coordinating with the Value Steam Leaders (VSL) on customer communication including but not limited to; presentations,  agreement on qualification plans to mitigate GCS regulation impact, schedules, reports, and change documentation
  • Accountable for review and negotiation of customer chemical regulation contract clauses
  • Support negotiation with customers on the NRC and RC impact of implementing GCS mitigation plans

 

Suppliers

  • Accountable for coordinating with Commodity Managers on the definition and execution of GCS mitigation plans with all suppliers to ensure continuity of supply
  • Support negotiation with suppliers on the NRC and RC impact of implementing GCS mitigation plans
  • Support bi-annual Assent supplier Article 33 surveys by facilitating communication with Central Supply Chain, assuring accuracy of supplier point of contact, and following up with Commodity Managers of nonresponsive suppliers to drive closure

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • May have broad knowledge of project management.
  • Requires substantial knowledge of projects, programs or systems in order to provide enhancements within job area.

 

The salary range for this role is $89,000.00 to $189,000.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.

 

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
