Job Description:

Fullstack Python Developer (AWS & AI/ML)

We are seeking an experienced Fullstack Python Developer based in Latin America for a full-time contract opportunity. This is a 100% remote role with flexibility to overlap U.S. Central Time (CT) hours.

What You’ll Do

  1. Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask) on the backend and a modern JavaScript framework on the frontend (React).
  2. Collaborate with UX/UI designers, DevOps engineers, and QA to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  3. Develop and consume RESTful APIs and, where appropriate, event-driven and AI-powered endpoints.
  4. Implement microservices architectures, handle data persistence with SQL and NoSQL databases on AWS (RDS, DynamoDB), and optimize database interactions.
  5. Integrate AI/ML features using AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, or similar services.
  6. Write clean, testable, and well-documented code; author and execute unit/integration tests.
  7. Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban).
  8. Ensure application security, performance tuning, and scalable deployment in AWS cloud environments.
  9. Stay up to date with the latest Python, AWS, and AI/ML ecosystem trends and frontend best practices.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Strong hands-on experience with Python and web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
  2. Proficiency in a modern frontend framework—React—with JavaScript (or TypeScript) and state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.).
  3. Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, AWS RDS).
  4. Experience building and securing RESTful services; knowledge of authentication and authorization best practices is advantageous.
  5. Experience with AWS services (Lambda, Fargate, Bedrock, RDS, S3, Kinesis) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
  6. Comfortable with Git workflows (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) and CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, Git, Docker).
  7. Strong grasp of design principles (SOLID, Clean Architecture) and software design patterns.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication in a distributed team environment.

Bonus

  1. Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models and services, especially with AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker).
  2. Familiarity with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.
  3. Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (pytest, unittest, Selenium).
  4. Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  5. Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS Kinesis, SQS) and event-driven architectures.
