Solari Creative is currently in need of an experienced Public Affairs Specialist for the purpose of collecting, assembling, preparing and disseminating information concerning various technologies and programs for a major U.S. Army organization. You will be required to carry-out a wide range of assignments including article writing, social media strategy, communication planning and policy review in support of the mission. Minimum of 3 years experience working with either large corporations or military clients is desired. Please include a writing sample with your application.

Duties

Conceives, writes and distributes a wide variety of materials to communicate information about C5ISR technologies, programs, and activities. Materials include items such as news releases, reports, articles, newsletters, and speeches

• Plans and coordinates the dissemination of information through multiple avenues including print, digital and traditional news media
• Evaluates the impact and effectiveness of communication plans and campaigns and provides advice to management on how to improve
• Shall understand media presence including analysis of traditional, nontraditional and social media with interests in C5ISR related areas
• Shall conduct media content analyses to understand what is being reported by whom, the nature of the coverage, media trends, agendas and opportunities
• Shall conduct research to understand audiences, issues and needs in order to develop Public Affairs plans

Requirements

• Must be self-motivated, adaptable, professional and positive. Candidates with high energy, a can-do attitude and a strong work ethic will be given preference
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is a must
• Must be able to adhere to deadlines and provide progress reports to management
• Excellent verbal and written skills are required
• Must be able to prioritize work in order to balance multiple projects/deadlines
• Must be able to build effective client relationships based on trust, flexibility, and professionalism
• Must be able to apply for, receive and maintain a security clearance
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
