Energy Recovery is seeking a qualified candidate for a full time job opening for the position of Product Content Writer, with the Product Marketing team in the Katy, TX facility. This position is responsible for creating a variety of honed content, whichengages and informs our target audiences across multiple industries. A suitable candidate should have prior product writing experience in an industrial setting in markets such as water, HVACR, or other relevant industry. The position will be a hybrid work environment.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work closely with various departments to understand project requirements, which support business unit goals including working cross functionally to obtain proper reviews for external content.

• Interview subject matter experts to collect necessary information to meet objectives of project.

• Research, outline, write, and edit content for case studies, white papers, and other product papers items as needed.

• Develop customer facing product content for website, product one-sheets, video scripts, and other identified marketing collateral for both a technical and non-technical audience across multiple industries.

• Develop, implement, and maintain system for creation of abstracts, and commercially focused product papers, for publication at industry conferences.

• Edit, refine, and create technical presentation content for delivery at external events.

• Provide editorial support for operational/technical manuals, data sheets, and documentation as needed.

• Develop content for maximum usability and visibility working with other marketing team members to ensure consistent voice across all documentation

• Other content specific duties as required

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communications, or relevant technical field

• Professional certification preferred

• Three or more years of experience as a content writer

• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter across multiple industries

• Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail

• Experience working with engineering and other technical teams to create and refine content

• Experience working and coordinating content cross functionally

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
