What's Cool About This Job

As the Principal, GTM Strategy and Ops, you will be a pivotal member of WP Engine's Worldwide Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy team, which also encompasses Revenue Operations (Rev Ops) and Business Intelligence (BI). Your primary responsibility will be to strategize and design our Sales GTM approach, ensuring the effective scaling and optimization of both Direct and Indirect sales functions across North American (NA) and other International markets

Role & Responsibilities Include

In partnership with the NA, International and Agency Sales GMs, build and execute rigor-based strategies/plays to scale and optimize Sales functions that will drive revenue, MRR, net new customers and reduce churn.

Work closely with Sales, Geo leaders and cross functional teams (BI, Finance, IT, HR) and Ops teams to implement and maintain the strategic changes.

To be successful in this role, successful candidates will need to have solid E2E understanding of the Sales function, prior experience driving Sales GTM changes and plays (route optimization, sales optimization, route monetization, sales play/campaign development etc), been in a position as a trusted advisor to Sales GMs, has the ability to think strategically visualizing one step ahead to solve problems with forward looking view rather than just reacting to what's in hand, ability to think outside the box, think about impacts on ancillary functions that are tied to the function being supported, and grow into a strategic advisor for their stakeholder.

Position Requirements
 

  • 7-8 years of experience in a combination of sales strategy, sales planning operations, management consulting
  • Top tier BA/BS; MBA a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to draw relevant business conclusions based on multiple data inputs, paint the big picture and build credible independent recommendations
  • Strong communications & influencing skills, experience presenting & working with partners at all levels, producing exec level content and conducting exec conversations

Base Salary Range

$132,000.00 - $198,000.00

We believe that compensation should be reflective of the impact you have within the organization relative to the market value of your role. The estimated base salary range for this position is as listed above. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Our salary ranges are determined by job role and responsibilities and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position nationwide. The actual base pay will vary based on various factors including job-related skills and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
