Job Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments for various services, including diagnostic and surgical procedures.
- Obtain and verify necessary demographic and insurance information from patients.
- Register patients and accurately enter data into the scheduling system.
- Meet individual quality metrics while providing professional and friendly service.
- Practice the employer’s philosophy of service excellence in interactions with patients and families.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Completion of the Patient Access training course.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and possesses excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA and Medicare coverage structure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology.
- Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or Creole.
