We are looking for a talented Technical - Cross Functional Engineering Associate - 1st Shift to join our team for our location in Columbus, IN with starting pay of $33.00 - 37.00/hr. based on experience. This role is 1st shift position 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday - Friday.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Teardown and analysis of ignition components (spark plugs, coils, electronics).
• Electrical testing of ignition components and systems.
• Assemble small printed circuit board and breadboard assemblies, including connections, enclosures, and wiring.
• Construct wiring harnesses.
• Program laboratory equipment for specialized and automated functions.
• Facilitate and track laboratory equipment calibrations.
• Assemble and maintain laboratory test fixtures and rigs.
• Assist the lab manager with work order management, work flow, and metric reporting.
• Design and execute ignition component and system tests under supervision of lab engineers.
• Prepare test samples.
• Document work orders ad write lab reports.
• Maintain lab housekeeping and supply.
• Facilitate shipping and receiving of engineering samples and returned parts.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations OR

A regionally applicable Certification (e.g. US Department of Labor) or two year Associates Degree from an accredited college program in a relevant field of study OR

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Requires 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

• Skill in electronics assembly and test
• Skill in Electrical / Electronic equipment (Oscilloscopes)
• Skill in reading electric diagrams
• Skill with power tools, mechanical assembly, and plumbing
• Skill in programming in LabView and/or Visual Basic
• Skill in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP'S AND Macros)
• Knowledge/Experience with CTC Work Order Systems
• Capable/Innovative with test fixtures, layouts, technical drawings

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
