Interview Process: Video interview to start immediately.

• Must Haves: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years experience handling nonprofit grant accounting including grant voucher process for year end
• Intermediate Excel skills including the use of Pivot tables, Vlookups, etc
• Strong communication skills

• Preferred: Legal services corporation LSC regulations experience
• Abila MIP experience

Job Summary/Description:

A leader in equality for NY citizens is looking for a strong Grant Accountant on a temporary basis. This individual will own Grant reconciliations for year end close. This person will have ample experience handling Government Vouchers for month end close. This will be start to finish- starring with pulling data in the accounting system for each grant based on the specific funding code call. This client has 250+ grants, each with different year end and this individual will need to look at budget and determine what can be vouched based on what is compliant for that specific month. The incumbent will then go into the funder website for review and approval on compliance. There will be a waiting period then the funder will come back with questions and request missing proof of compliance so the grant accountant will go collect necessary supporting documents from internal stakeholders. Once funder approves this person will process all the way through the accounting posting process.
