Independently perform tests per ISO, ASTM, and/or client requirements as Medical Device Analyst

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Independently perform tests per ISO, ASTM, and/or client requirements. Perform testing within the specified test plan and/or SOP for each test. Monitor projects for conformance with applicable SOPs and test specifications.
  • Participate in developing and validating test methods based on relevant ISO, ASTM, ISTA standards and or client requirements.
  • Prepare test specimens for package/material/device testing.
  • Operation of the test equipment for routine functional testing as well as integrity and dimensional analysis.
  • Manage multiple projects/tests at any one time ensuring all commitments are met.
  • Document results and review data.
  • Repackaging of the product after testing is complete.
  • Analyze, interpret and communicate test results to senior management.
  • Assist with the maintenance and operation of laboratory equipment, instruments and logbooks including calibrations, performance verification and equipment IQ/OQ/PQ.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the testing methods being used to analyze samples.
  • Keep training logs and SOP readership up to date.
  • Shipping and Receiving (sample intake and disposition) as needed

EDUCATIONAL OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Discipline or equivalent experience in a laboratory environment and/or packaging and medical device industry
  • Good written, math and verbal skills, highly organized and decision-making ability focused around details
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and handle multiple tasks within defined timelines
  • Knowledge of lab quality systems, cGMPs, and document control methods desired
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
