As a Marketing Specialist at WOWorks, you will play a vital role in supporting the marketing team by executing marketing programs and developing local and systemwide marketing plans. Your focus will be on building brand awareness, driving targeted audiences to our stores, and ensuring long-term profitability and growth. This position is the key liaison with our franchisees, contributing to the overall success of the Frutta Bowls brand.
BRAND LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES (30%)
- Represent the Frutta Bowls brand as a leader, managing overall brand voice, platform performances, reputation, and growth strategy.
- Collaborate with agencies, freelance team members, key vendors, and cross-functional teams to create and execute strategic brand positioning and topline calendar initiatives, ensuring success and profitability.
- Work closely with marketing leadership and franchisees to implement marketing plans and programs, including new initiatives, campaigns, promotions, and product launches, aligned with overall brand strategy.
- Assist the Sr. Brand Manager in managing marketing calendars/activities and provide input on local/regional needs.
- Execute program goals, including themes, messages, content, collateral, landing pages, and event logistics from concept through execution and follow-up.
- Manage social media content calendars and partnerships with franchisees to create high-quality content for distribution on social platforms.
- Support franchisees to enhance effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, understand marketing needs, and increase sales.
- Explore non-traditional local media avenues that may benefit the brand and franchisees.
- Track the effectiveness of marketing efforts and manage location LRM spending budgets.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 20%.
STRATEGY SUPPORT (10%)
- Work with the Sr. Brand Manager to develop, finalize, and present overall strategies to the internal leadership team and the franchise system to grow the business.
- Contribute to high-level strategy development including securing brand partnerships and product development.
LOCAL RESTAURANT MARKETING (LRM) - (20%)
- Support, teach, and train franchisees in various marketing tactics and implementation.
- Collaborate with marketing leadership and franchisees to develop marketing plans and programs to achieve objectives, support brand strategy, and increase sales.
- Collaborate with agency or freelance partners on content creation, including social media, and develop a portfolio of LRM programs accessible to Business Coaches and franchisees.
- Coordinate materials to support franchisee-specific annual calendars of LRM activity that complement the national marketing calendar.
- Collaborate with Business Coaches and franchisees to set and schedule franchisee-specific annual calendars of LRM activity.
- Provide in-market support for local tests of strategic marketing initiatives.
- Capture LRM best practices and benchmarks from top-performing franchisees and implement them system-wide.
NEW RESTAURANT OPENINGS (20%)
- Collaborate with the New Restaurant Opening Marketing Manager to coordinate all integrated marketing tactics required for successful restaurant openings (both franchise and corporate locations).
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (20%)
- Build effective working relationships with franchisees and vendors, translating franchisees' needs into action.
- Establish and maintain trust and credibility with franchisees, vendors, and marketing associates.
- Maintain consistent communication (e.g., phone, email, face-to-face) with franchisees to discuss specific local marketing needs, encourage franchisee engagement in marketing their business, and ensure compliance with brand standards.
