Position Summary
The Baker Institute Managing Editor is responsible for the publication of a digital and print content on a wide variety of public policy topics from institute researchers and affiliated experts. Reporting to the institute’s Director of Communications, the Managing Editor works collaboratively with the institute’s research and administrative staff to develop high-level creative content for a general audience raising awareness of the institute’s research and impact. The position also manages editorial staff and serves as the primary point of contact for the editing team on digital and print materials including the institute’s website and social media accounts, policy reports and other substantive research publications, event materials, newsletters, annual reports, and marketing materials.
Ideal candidates will have experience producing high quality content in an academic or news-room setting.

Proposed Hiring Range: The intended hiring range for the position is $75,000-$80,000 and will be commensurate with applicant's qualifications and experience.
