The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality learning solutions that improve employee performance and support business objectives. This role partners closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), business leaders, and HR stakeholders to translate complex information into engaging, effective, and measurable learning experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design end-to-end learning solutions using instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Agile)
2. Develop engaging learning assets including: eLearning modules, instructor-led and virtual training materials, and microlearning, job aids, and performance support tools
3. Apply adult learning principles and learning science to ensure effectiveness
4. Conduct learning needs analyses to identify performance gaps and root causes
5. Partner with business leaders and SMEs to define learning objectives and success metrics
6. Recommend appropriate learning modalities (eLearning, ILT, blended, on-the-job)
7. Create and edit learning content using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Rise)
8. Leverage learning platforms such as LMS/LXP systems
9. Incorporate multimedia, interactivity, and assessments to enhance learner engagement
10. Design assessments and evaluation strategies aligned to learning objectives
11. Analyze learner feedback and performance data to improve learning solutions
12. Measure learning impact and effectiveness (e.g., Kirkpatrick levels)
13. Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously, meeting timelines and quality standards
14. Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the design and development process
15. Ensure content accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational standards
16. Ensure learning content meets regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements
17. Maintain documentation, version control, and content governance standards
18. Additional duties as assigned

Skills and Competencies:

1. Instructional design and curriculum development
2. Learning needs analysis and performance consulting
3. Storyboarding and content scripting
4. Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills
5. Stakeholder partnership and consultation
6. Project management and attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technology, Human Resources, or related field
2. 3+ years of experience in instructional design or learning development (corporate or academic)
3. Strong knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning theory
4. Experience developing eLearning and blended learning solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field
2. Experience supporting leadership development, onboarding, or technical training
3. Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
4. Experience with data-driven learning evaluation
5. Experience in AI Video design
6. Certification (e.g., ATD, CPTD, Instructional Design certificate)

1. Authoring tools: Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate/
2. LMS/LXP platforms (Axonify, Horizon)
3. Video and multimedia tools
4. Microsoft 365, collaboration platforms
5. Survey and analytics tools

Pay And Benefits Disclosure The pay range for this role is $56,500 - $104,900 a year and is based on experience and qualifications. We offer employees access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and paid time off among others. Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
