JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The John M. Lilley Library is looking for a candidate to fill their Idea Lab Coordinator vacancy. A successful candidate will manage the library's Idea Lab, including the makerspace, Media Commons and One Button Studio spaces. This position supervises three to five Idea Lab student assistants and trains students, faculty and staff in the usage of Idea Lab equipment and software. This position is also responsible for developing a budget for the Idea Lab in consultation with the library budget team, purchasing and maintaining Idea Lab equipment and supplies, regular staffing of the library's circulation/information desk, library opening and closing procedures, answering reference and research questions and assisting in training part-time library staff. This position serves as liaison to campus and University Libraries' IT departments, Media Commons regional staff, and VAR Edu Lab staff and is responsible for creating work orders with these groups. Position hours are Mondays-Fridays, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with the possibility of occasional evening and weekend hours.

Typical Requirements:

This position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher +1 years related experience.
