Examines and prepares histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and patient diagnosis.

Uses rapid tissue processing and frozen section technique to freeze, cut, mount, and stain tissue specimen received from surgery, biopsy, and anatomical tissues upon preparation of sections of human or animal tissue for immediate examination.

Operates computerized laboratory equipment to fix, dehydrate, and infiltrate with wax, tissue specimens to be preserved for study by Pathologist.

Histotech covering routine embedding, cutting, staining, special stains. IHC experience welcome.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

HT(ASCP) certification

Minimum Education:

AA from accredited HT program
