We need hard hitters with either some pedigree and/or background/research in the spaces we're focusing on. Here are the topics that are of interest that could indicate a good fit: If you match, we can get up to $400K + 3% Equity.

1. Affective computing (research around how machines can recognize, understand and respond to human emotions)
2. Human-AI interaction / Human-computer interaction
3. Multimodal AI (text/speech/vision) or MoE (mixture of experts focus)
4. Computational Psychology or Cognitive Science/CS mix
5. Avatars/3D-Reconstruction (trying to be more holistic with above though)

Target schools, but not necessary

1. Stanford / HCI lab, human-computer AI lab,
2. MIT
3. Carnegie Mellon
4. UC Berkeley
5. Tsinghua/Nanyang/other top chinese universities
6. Oxford
7. Waterloo

Target previous experience, also not necessary:

1. Meta FAIR
2. Deepmind/Google
3. Apple
4. Hume (and adjacent companies)
5. OpenAI/Anthropic (but these are likely too expensive)
6. Ex-self-driving is a good area to look at (Ex-Cruise/Nuro/Waymo)
7. Any other really good research arms/companies

Examples of profiles that fit include, leading a deep learning research team at Apple, facial expression analysis background, Co-led LLM and text-to-speech research foundational model. If you don't have heavy experience in one of the above domains, we can accept people with an incredible background leading teams in the AI sphere.
