About the Role

Angala Fintech is building the Angala Payment Gateway, a payment infrastructure product enabling merchants and businesses to securely accept and process online payments.

We are looking for a Frontend Developer to build responsive, reliable and secure interfaces across the Payment Gateway, including merchant onboarding, payment flows, dashboards, transaction management and real-time payment status.

You will work closely with the CTO, UI/UX Designer, Backend Developers and Product team to translate product designs and technical requirements into production-ready experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain responsive, production-grade frontend applications for the Payment Gateway.
• Develop merchant onboarding, payment, transaction, settlement and dashboard interfaces.
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Implement secure authentication, authorisation and session-management flows.
• Build real-time transaction and payment-status experiences where required.
• Translate Figma designs and product requirements into accurate, reusable interfaces.
• Optimise applications for performance, reliability, accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
• Write maintainable, reusable and well-structured frontend code.
• Identify and resolve UI, integration, performance and production issues.
• Collaborate with backend developers, UI/UX designers and product teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging and controlled releases.

Requirements & Experience

• Proven experience building and deploying production-grade web applications.
• Strong experience with modern JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with React or another modern frontend framework.
• Strong understanding of API integration and asynchronous data handling.
• Experience building responsive interfaces and complex dashboards.
• Good understanding of web security, authentication and secure handling of sensitive transaction data.
• Experience working with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving ability.
• Experience in fintech, payments, e-commerce or other transaction-driven products is highly advantageous.
