Become a Key Player as a Forward Deployed Engineer

You will serve as a senior technical owner who translates mission requirements into scalable software that directly supports national security operations. You will influence operational outcomes by working with operators, analysts, product, design, and mission teams, delivering solutions into production. This is a fully Remote role with travel required up to 20–30% to engage with mission owners in the field.


Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact on the Team

  1. Architect, build, and own software solutions deployed directly to customer environments for mission-critical use cases
  2. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer stakeholders and senior technical leaders
  3. Own end-to-end technical delivery from requirements gathering and system design through implementation, deployment, and sustainment
  4. Contribute hands-on code to improve product capabilities, performance, and scalability across customer use cases
  5. Build software to enable users to extract value from large-scale text, multimedia, and geospatial datasets across many languages
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional partners (engineers, product designers, mission domain experts) to plan and deliver complex features
  7. Support government-facing technical artifacts such as RFIs, RFPs, Statements of Work, and white papers as needed
  8. Integrate solutions with government IT ecosystems while meeting security, compliance, and operational constraints


Here’s What You’ll Need to Be Successful in This Role

  1. 5+ years as a Full Stack Developer
  2. Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Postgres), caching technologies (e.g., Redis), object storage systems (e.g., S3), and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React)
  3. Experience developing and deploying software compliant with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  4. Experience interfacing with government-owned IT systems (data platforms, IdAM providers, SIEM, CDSs, etc.)
  5. Experience working with government program offices to scope technical requirements, architecture, and integrations
  6. Experience working with end users to scope mission requirements, conduct user testing, and gather product feedback
  7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  8. Must hold an active U.S. TS Security clearance with SCI Eligibility


Pay Range

$135,000-$205,000 + equity/year
