He/She needs to be very hands-on and skillful at communicating. Most importantly, He/She is expected to be very insightful getting a sense around food nutrition, engineering and quality management in US.

Also, have understanding of food & dietary supplement related regulation in US.

Roles and responsibility

The Research and Development Technologist is responsible for all aspects of product development and commercialization-related activities, including quotation, quality control, process development, commercialization, and ongoing production support of dietary supplement and various dosage forms. Provides functional technical support to Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Branding and other functional areas.

Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited, to:

• Develops product formulations in accordance to customer specifications, business requirements, and good manufacturing practices (Dosage forms: Tablets, Capsules, Soft gels, Powders, Teas, Liquids, etc.)

• Prepares technical documentation relevant to product development including, but not limited to: Product standard, Ingredient spec., Quotations, Verification protocols, Customer forms, SOPs, etc.

• Check raw ingredients for compatibility or stability for processing and finished products for safety, quality, and nutritional value.

• Evaluate food processing and storage operations and assist in the development of quality assurance programs for such operations.

• Study methods to improve aspects of foods, such as chemical composition, flavor, color, texture, nutritional value, and convenience.

• Stay up-to-date on new regulations and current events regarding food science by reviewing scientific literature.

- Managing product label and relevant regulations

• Test new products for flavor, texture, color, nutritional content, and adherence to government and industry standards.

• Source ingredients, raw materials, packaging materials and co-packing partners.

• Conducts production trouble-shooting, identifies product & process related opportunities and implements solutions

• Work closely with the global product development research team in R&D HQ and the global management team in HQ South Korea.

• Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.

• Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.

• Perform other job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Characteristics

• Bachelor Degree or prospective graduate preferred

- More than 2 years of product development experience is preferred.

• Experienced in FDA regulation knowledge(Dietary supplement/Food) is preferred.

• Food technology related certificate is preferred.

• Bilingual skill in Korean & English in written and verbal is required.

• Creative, enthusiastic, self-motivated, self-directed, detail-oriented and willingness to grow

• Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively

• Experience in Asian (or Asian corporate) culture is preferred

• Proficient in MS Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint

• No issue about business trip

• Must possess a legal driver license and be capable of driving

• Must be legally eligible to work in the US

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
