If you’re an experienced logistics specialist who holds a valid Commercial Driver’s License, Class A, in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, consider working for Willie G Logistics. Duties: As an employee, you will be assigned to report at specified dates and times to an Amazon facility, using the Amazon Relay App on your company-provided device. You will then pick up your trailer and transport it to its destination; this process may repeat several times a day. You will be driving a Volvo or Kenworth Day cab trucks, model year 2020 or newer, which run with either diesel fuel or CNG (compressed natural gas).

Hours: Fulltime employees work 40hrs +, part-time employees work 20+ weekly. We will do our best to keep schedules as consistent as possible. Weekend duties will be rotated based on seasonal demand and other factors.

Responsibilities

  • Transport finished goods to and from distribution centers
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Follow delivery schedules
  • Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving using ELD logs and retain fuel/toll receipts
  • Input data into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
  • Comply with truck-driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
  • Keep company-provided cellphone charged and ready for required uses, including communication, GPS guidance and Amazon Relay App
  • Report defects, accidents or violations

Qualifications

  • Valid truck-driving license 2+ years
  • Proven work experience as a truck driver
  • Age 26 or older
  • Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck-driving rules and regulations
  • No recent moving or driving violations
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
  • Military experience is a plus
