AMS on behalf of our client and its partner is seeking an Electronics Technician. The Electronics Technician is a critical TechOps role in which you will maintain the proper and safe functioning of our fleet, ensuring customers have an exceptional travel experience. 

Through this opportunity, you will be provided formal training, enhanced development and coaching opportunities to evaluate suitability for a full-time hire recommendation. 

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Performs maintenance including but not limited to inspection, test, and repair of aircraft avionic/electronic components in a bench repair environment in accordance with our-approved manuals and methods 
  • Performs repairs to the component level (e.g., transistor, resistor, capacitor, etc.) replacement 
  • Performs appropriate computer functions and provides documentation to ensure that maintenance records, parts tracking and costs are accurately recorded 
  • Maintains a safe, clean and compliant work environment 
  • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Must be able to read and write English and be able to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals 
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent 
  • Must be willing to work rotating or fixed shifts 
  • Must achieve a satisfactory score on the mechanical aptitude test which is structured to determine the ability to perform essential job functions 
  • As required by the FAA for all persons in safety-sensitive positions, candidates selected for this position are subject to a drug test 
  • Should be able to meet the physical requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions, including the ability to lift up to 70 pounds 
  • Must have at least two years of bench avionics/electronics component repair experience OR 
    • a minimum of 17 months of academic training specializing in avionics/electronics component repair OR
    • have CETa certification from The Electronics Technicians Association OR
    • Have completed Electronics program at a Delta approved learning institution
  • Must pass an internal Avionics/Electronics Evaluation Test administered by management that measures the ability to read electronic schematics, identify electronic components, discuss electronic circuit operation and operate analog and digital meters 
  • Must be able to obtain IPC-7711/7721 soldering certification through Module 5 within 12 months of assignment 
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles

  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by the date of hire to be considered for the U.S. based contractor opportunity
  • Knowledge of aircraft not requires (need the electronics aptitude/skill)
