ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director, Content Management, the Ecommerce Copywriter is responsible for crafting product copy for E-commerce product pages; providing key product details and reason to buy. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a passion for product, an exceptional eye for detail, and ability to craft strong consumer facing product content. Through research, partnership with the product team & other copywriters, this position plays a crucial role in the creation of inspiring, helpful, and accurate titles, product descriptions, and below the fold content that showcases the quality and features & benefits that make our products unique.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with other copywriters to create, implement and enhance best-in-class digital product content that addresses consumer needs and is optimized to retailer search engines
- Support new product launches with the development of A+ digital assets highlighting key selling features
- Write clear, concise, and brand appropriate copy to align with brand voice and tone across several different product offerings & brands. Write inspiring "romance” copy and detailed product bullet copy for all brand product detail pages, and communicate them to customers in a clear and compelling way
- Understand SEO best practices and work to optimize search terms in product descriptions
- Review competitive and best-in-class product listings to identify industry trends and apply to our content
- Proofread materials for grammar, structure, style, and tone
- Organize/manage gathering product information, working closely with product and merchandise teams to ensure key deadlines are met
- Complete special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS

- Associate or Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing preferred, or 1-3 years of equivalent experience, or previous internship
- Team player with strong communication skills who can work cross-functionally and collaborate with internal and external partners
- Experience working with Amazon or related E-commerce platform (Preferred)
- Retail category experience, ideally in furniture, decor, textiles, and design trends
- Natural ability to work collaboratively with writing and product teams
- Excellent time-management and project-management skills.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with Experience with SEO and best practices
- Ability to adapt and adhere to branded style and copy guides, especially across multiple brands
- Ability to multitask, self-manage, and meet deadlines
- Analytical, and creative problem solver, with excellent attention to detail and organization abilities.
- Superior PC skills with advanced capabilities in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
