Primary Function
Reporting to the Creative Director, the Creative Designer conceptualizes and designs creative packaging concepts that follow brand guidelines and customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Participate in trend research and brainstorming for new product concepts with creative teams.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Sourcing, and other design team members on all projects.
- Digitally design color schemes and patterns for products and packaging.
- Create package mockups for presentations and sample submissions.
- Communication with all sourcing teams on product specifications and packaging needs.
- Execute print files of packaging designs for factory production.
- Assist with product photography, editing and product copywriting needs.
Skills & Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in graphic design.
- Ability to use Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop to execute all designs work and examples.
- Knowledge of composition, color, and typography.
- Ability to work on Mac systems, with knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.
- Ability to clearly present concepts to creative team to ensure marketing objectives are being met.
- Time management skills are key; must be able to manage a fast-paced environment with high project volume and tight deadlines.
- Strong work ethic, driven, desire to grow with company, and openness to accept constructive critique.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; to include experience with copy writing.
Other Experience Preferences
- Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom
- Familiarity with package design and illustration, to include children’s craft &/or toy product design.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
