We are seeking a CNC Mill/Lathe Machinist with 3-4 axis programming and set up experience to work in a R&D enviroment. A successful candidate for this role should have experience setting up and operating CNC machines, knowledge of modern CAD/CAM systems, and proficient manual machining and fabricating skills. The role will involve developing tooling and fixturing solutions for non-traditional machining applications.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Machine Prototype parts for an R&D team using various Machine Shop equipment. These may include 3 and 4 axis CNCs, lathes, Wire EDM, water jet, and sheet metal fabrication
· Work collaboratively to support Product Development engineers
· Organization and maintenance of R&D fabrication/mock up area, including tools, raw materials, prototypes, competitive products, and equipment
· Work productively and effectively with limited supervision
· Provide Machine Shop training for employees
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
· 3-5 Years of Hands-On CNC Operation, preferably for quick turn product development
· Strong CAD/CAM Experience
· Understanding of CNC programming, G-Code and M-Code, machine tool setup and integration, tooling, macro-programming, fixture and gage design.
· Able to read and understand Part Prints and Drawings to make components from..
· Strong use of precision measurement equipment
· Fine motor skills and extreme attention to detail
· Demonstrated ability to work on projects and meet required timelines
· Preferred experience with 3 and 4 axis CNCs, lathes, wire EDM, water jet, and sheet metal fabrication. As well, the ability to recommend and set up the equipment and any required software to run equipment
· Strong computer skills; experience with SolidWorks or MasterCam or CAMWorks Preferred.
· Use of general shop equipment such as band saws & grinder
· Experience with TIG and MIG welding
