ZS’s Architecture & Engineering Expertise Center brings deep specialization across niche technologies with skills to play as hands-on developer, designer and architect roles. Team members will be expected to rapidly learn new technologies and become experts with industry certified credentials. A large portion of EC members are expected to drive research and asset development as part of ZS’ Enterprise Services Center of Excellence (ESCOE), while others would be part of client teams, pod teams, or practice teams supporting client projects and solutions based on dominant technologies used in respective teams / clients while also staying abreast with everything happening in ESCOE to bring new ideas and technologies to their teams.

ARCHITECTURE MANAGER

Responsibilities:

• Help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions and provide advice on strategies for migrating existing workloads to the cloud
• Participate and drive scoping and technical requirements gathering sessions for customer’s cloud program
• Provide expert advice on application solutions including assisting with design reviews, sprint planning, development, and resolution of technical issues
• Design and implement cloud solutions, perform risk identification and mitigation, provide issue management recommendations as required
• Analyze, identify, breakdown, refine the existing requirements. Provide a high-level features list. Create or respond to user stories, in order to prioritize the execution of the functional and technical requirements
• Develop design documents for complex architectures and designs
• Document both high-level and detailed specifications for complex architectures and designs
• Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business
• Provide solution designs in the area of Analytics, Big Data, Cloud, Digital Asset Management, Master Data Management and Data Warehousing
• Monitor progress manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
• Consistently contribute to researching & evaluating latest technologies through rapid learning, conducting proof-of-concepts, and creating prototype solutions

Qualifications:

• 7+ years’ experience of hands-on IT services or consulting work, managing large technology engagements
• Proven experience architecting and designing big data, cloud (Amazon Web Services or other), custom applications, or implementations across multiple technologies and platforms
• Significant experience working with AWS (EMR, Redshift, etc.), as well as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Snowflake, Informatica IICS
• Prior experience in managing technology assessment and developing strategic recommendations
• Experience working on projects with data management, data strategy, data lake, data warehousing
• Experience with collecting and translating user and product requirements to technical requirements
• Experience in life sciences or digital health environments preferred

ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
