What will you do?

The Accounting Clerk will be tasked with:

  • Liaise with the VP of Finance or designee to ascertain priorities on any given day.
  • Timely and accurately documentation of transaction details.
  • Preparation of timely monthly invoices to clients.
  • Review the company’s expenditure as required.
  • Review the company's incoming monies as required.
  • Match up incoming and outgoing payments with remittances or invoices.
  • Ensure the funds coming in match the expected funds and the funds going out match the expected outgoings.
  • Report any suspicious activity or abnormalities in the books.
  • Assist with producing reports for tax purposes.
  • Fill out all tax documentation as required.
  • Request information from executives or senior partners regarding expenditure.
  • Process business expenses and employee expenses.
  • Prepare reports for the VP of Finance or designee as required.
  • Keep up to date with industry standards in bookkeeping and continue education or workshops as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Must-Have’s:

  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role (Accounting Assistant, AR/AP rep, Payroll clerk)
  • MicroSoft Office Experience – Word and Excel (Intermediate Level)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional mathematical and calculation skills
  • Verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Multitasking abilities
  • Good research and analysis skills

Nice-to-Have’s:

  • 5+ years’ experience preferred
  • Associate’s degree in related field a plus
  • Certification a plus
  • MicroSoft Office Experience – Outlook and Teams (Intermediate Level)
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online a HUGE plus
