Job Description:

Provide Administrative support for the Shipping/Inventory function; prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports; Enters data into the SAP and Locator systems.  Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager.

  • Pull orders from the system in preparation for on-time shipments; verify information and quantities; prepare documentation to obtain finished product from the warehouse to fill customer orders.  
  • Prepare orders throughout the day.  Includes outside warehouses under the Sealy umbrella.
  • Work with Materials Planner to maintain warehouse expectations for shipping and factory logistics at all Sika facilities.
  • Maintain warehouse receiving records in SAP.
  • Notifies carriers about LTL shipments.
  • Run the appropriate reports to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare outbound orders in SAP, including bills of lading, packing slips, labels, commercial invoices(as needed), and any customer-specific request.
  • Coordinates with warehouse personnel on special material and or handling instructions for shipments
  • Prepare activity reports, such as OTS, LONSA, Weight Sheets, etc. 
  • Act as main point-of-contact for "Urgent" orders.
  • Prepare all outbound order paperwork, including BOM’s, packing slips, labels, commercial invoices (as needed), and any customer-specific requests.
  • Confirm shipped orders in SAP.
  • Collect information for damage claims on in-transit damage.  Process RMA's.
  • Work with Manager to follow-up responses to customer service, sales and other company personnel regarding product availability, shipment status, etc.
  • Assist in a variety of inventory transactions as necessary, including stock transfer receipts, customer order confirmation, purchase order receipts, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining FIFO inventory of all finished products.  Maintaining Inventory Accuracy on SAP Warehouse Managed Locator systems; includes de-allocation as needed.
  • Receive Imports/Inbound shipments.
  • Process freight quote requests from Sales and Customer Service Departments.

•    Education:  High school Diploma or GED certificate
•    3+ years experience in a warehouse, distribution or manufacturing environment. 
•    Experience with SAP preferred. 
•    Must be able to read and write in English.
•    Must have working knowledge of PC systems and applications.
•    Must have speed and accuracy in entering data.
•    Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
•    Must have strong customer satisfaction focus.
•    Must be able to participate in continuous improvement and problem solving teams.
