Job Description:

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal HealthOperations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

  • Pay rate: $21.40
  • Shift: Mon-Fri 5am-1:30pm
  • Bonus eligibility: No

Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED Preferred

  • Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution

  • Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
  • Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor
  • Must be willing to operate industrial powered trucks at elevation
  • Ability to consistently lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to unload floor loaded freight from ocean containers
  • Employees are expected to work in any area and all tasks as the need arises, so long as they are trained to do so, all employees will rotate through assignments such as unloading floor loaded containers in addition to other assignments
  • Job responsibilities could include but are not limited to picking, packing, shipping, unloading, receiving and/or putting away
