The Visual Designer is responsible for creating compelling and innovative visual design solutions for both print, web and other digital media campaigns and brand identities. Creates digital and print solutions that are consistent with the company’s design quality and brand(s) standards with direction from the Director of Marketing and other Brand Marketing team leads. Creates designs for both traditional and new media, including mobile, using the latest design and illustration tools for print graphics and on the web. This position will have a strong emphasis on digital media solutions including designing email campaigns, landing pages, web sites, ads, and other digital marketing assets from scratch.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and produce visual elements for use in websites, email marketing, digital ads, social media campaigns, sales enablement collateral and other marketing mediums
- Ability to maintain a cohesive design and experience by following Brand Standard Guides throughout all web,digital and print materials
- Employ design thinking techniques to develop strategies and execution plans where pathways are not always obvious
- Successfully design, use and apply wireframes in order to interface concepts
- Regularly participate in design reviews
- Apply content/design direction from team leads and stakeholders
- Design user flow charts, sitemaps and wireframes, mock-ups and prototyped responsive website features
- Ensure that all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and screen settings along with the constraints set by development and design
- Provide design elements, comps, templates and finished solutions
- Participate in efforts to improve the quality of websites and other electronic publications
- Assist with Photography planning and execution for use in print and electronic communications
- Demonstrate workable knowledge of illustration and typography
- Excellent project management skills; be self-directed and capable of working effectively in a deadline driven environment
- Work closely with the Brand Marketing team to ensure that all materials are built properly, saved properly and backed-up efficiently through our internal systems
- Advocate Web interaction design best practices, with a focus on consistency and usability
- Work with developers to optimize existing web assets and create the best possible user experience
- Demonstrate strong production skills including graphic optimization and asset management
- Understands responsive design and how to design for multiple screen sizes
- Must stay on top of trends and design platforms
- Must be able to bring innovative and brand relevant ideas to the table
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, XD, etc.), other interactive
- Basic to advanced knowledge of designing/prototyping in Figma
- Strong understanding of CSS and HTML for both web and email
- Ability to develop designs into valid, clean and functional HTML and CSS (front-end development only)
- Experience with cross-browser/cross-platform development
- Strong knowledge of current web-design, trends and techniques, and user-centered design
- Experience with responsive web design frameworks
- Excellent communication skills
- Website creative development, UX/IA (User Experience/Information Architecture), interactive design, and content strategies desired
- Motion graphics and animation experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of the Google Workspace programs (Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Drive)
- Proficient knowledge of the latest versions of Mac iOS operating systems and applicable software
