Job Description:

The Elizabeth Seton Library at the College of Mount Saint Vincent seeks a motivated and punctual temporary evening and weekend assistant to work at the Circulation/Reference desk and assist with special projects. Starting hours are Wednesday -Thursday 6pm-11pm and Sundays 2pm-10pm.

This is a temporary, part-time, nonexempt position working 18 hours per week onsite. This is a two week assignment with the possibility of extension.

The hourly rate for this position is $29.50.

Responsibilities:
 

• Providing quality customer service transactions
• Displaying strong communication skills when managing and redirecting patron inquiries
• Assisting patrons with basic computer and copier tasks and referring to IT as needed
• Shelving books
• Other duties as assigned
• May be asked to provide simple assistance with common library questions (eg. how do you locate a book or search a database) for which we will provide training
• May be required to lift up to 30 pounds
• There will be times when the person in this role is the only adult in the Library
