The RN –Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

The PCU RN will be responsible for managing the patient care of assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the Department.

As a progressive care unit nurse, opens the door to many specialty units you can choose from as your career progresses. Some of these include ICU, Cardiovascular, Surgical, Oncology, and Emergency Room.

RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRED:

• Plan, evaluate and implement patient care needs.
• Provide professional nursing care for patients in assigned areas according to established procedures.
• Responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients.
• Observe patient’s vital signs.
• Adhere to the Board of Registration in Nursing rules and regulations.
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Demonstrated proficiency in skills applicable to the designated area within the probation period
• MUST have at least 1 year of experience working as a Registered Nurse.
• Critical Care or PACU experience is a plus
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Specific locations will accept LTAC/LTC and SNF experience if you’ve had some previous Med/Surg experience]

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN) Will Consider ADN Candidates; BSN preferred

LICENSE REQUIRED:

• Current Registered Nurse License or Compact/Multi-State license, Required.

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• BLS required at the time of hire
• ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire required
• TNCC required within six (6) months of hire
• CPAN or ASPAN preferred

COMPENSATION 
Up to max rate $40 per hour. - Based on years of experience (must have 20 years of experience to be considered for the max pay)
