Job Description:

DSI is adding to its ranks at the Corporate Office in the Dothan, AL. Come join our team as a System Administrator / Programmer / Help Desk Specialist - Electronic Security Solutions Division

This position is responsible for managing all commercial and industrial system pre-configuration, system commissioning, remote support, and be an advanced level technical resource for electronic systems including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection for DSI Electronic Security Customers.

Responsibilities:

Handle all system pre-configuration/staging and final commissioning of systems and solutions.

Provide remote technical support to DSI Field technicians and customers.

Develop and manage a technical support help desk to assist DSI Security ESS Customers and Field technicians.

Manage, evaluate, and re-engineer as needed the remote agent applications currently used.

Manage all project technical documentation, such as usernames, passwords, IP information, as-built drawings, project closeout manuals, etc..

Position is expected to provide leadership, accuracy, and execution of documentation objectives to allow for future support with available details of systems.

Manage and administer cloud-based solutions.

Ensures that all tasks are handled properly in accordance with DSI policies and procedures.

Capable of identifying manufacture revisions and upgrades and install independently.

Accurately account for company inventory and resources.

Performs preventive system maintenance such as backups, software and firmware upgrades, and operating system repairs/enhancements as needed.

Position Requirements Preferred:

College Degree in Information Technology or equivalent The following (but not excluded to) certifications are preferred or recognized as equivalents to a college degree: industry recognized certifications in Networking, Cloud Technology, Information Technology, Windows Operating Systems, BICSI, etc..

Must have a level of experience in all IT infrastructure including, but not limited to.

Networking Topology and troubleshooting best practices.

Windows OS and Server Applications

Remote Desktop agents, such as TeamViewer, ConnectWise, BOMGAR, LogMeIn, etc..

IP endpoint setup and commissioning

Routing and ISP functions as they pertain to setting up a public static ip and necessary router configuration to support remote support to systems without compromising the cyber security of DSI customers.

MS Teams, OneDrive, & Sharepoint topology and best practices.

Must be able to work out a solution based on the information at hand and develop a plan to enhance, fix, or repair systems in accordance with the solution.

Must be extremely detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills

Ability to work accurately and efficiently.

Strong time management skills, including ability to meet deadlines

Experience in the following systems is a plus:

Kantech, Exacq, Avigilon, EagleEye, DSX, Brivo, Hikvision, Axis, Linear and Doorking is a plus.

Working knowledge of Sedona Office software is helpful

Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with DSI staff and customers

Observance of all safety regulations and rules and ability to work in a safe and cautious manner

Valid driver’s license

Pass all required background and drug screenings

Work location is preferred to be at the Dothan Corporate Office in Dothan, Alabama. Some travel to job sites will be required at times. Expected travel amount is 20%. Travel will be regional and possibly national, via driving and flights. Ability to stand/walk for twelve hours with no limitations on “normal” bending, lifting, climbing stairs or stooping. Job duties may involve exposure to some hazards, such as electricity, electrical wiring, and other similar conditions.
