Zurbuch Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced residential construction superintendent to join an established team. You will be supervising large residential remodels, additions, and occasionally new builds, primarily in the Chapel Hill and Durham greater areas. You will have the support of an experienced team of project managers and superintendents to help fulfill job responsibilities. We encourage team problem solving and active communication between staff. You will have the ability to receive several monetary job completion bonuses by meeting key construction deadlines and performance benchmarks for projects under your supervision.

Responsibilities

• Work with project managers in job planning and scheduling
• Provide field oversight for all aspects of the construction process
• Develop and maintain relationships with homeowners
• Serve as primary point of contact for homeowners throughout construction process
• Develop and maintain subcontractor relationships
• Manage construction schedule and quality control completed work
• Organize and execute change orders
• Keep notes on job progress, and report weekly in all staff meetings
• Have the ability to earn monetary bonus for timely job completion and managing budget

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Time management and communication skills
• Basic budgeting and safety
• Experience as a residential superintendent
• Experience with construction software such as CoConstruct
• Experience with up to date industry technology
• Proficiency in reading construction drawings and communicating scopes of work
• Ability to communicate with clients and subcontractors in person, via email, phone and text
• Ability to problem solve and provide clear instructions
