The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking Senior Technical Designer to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

 

A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades for the Airborne Surveillance Command and Control (ASC2), Bombers, or the Executive Transport Services & Systems (ETS&S) programs.

 

This Position is located in Oklahoma City, OK

 

Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

 

Export Control Requirements: U.S. Government Export Control Status: This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.

Qualifications

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides advice and technical guidance on all aspects of mechanical and structural design
  • Coordinates the integration of design parts, plans and tools to support manufacturing
  • Guides incorporation of new design technology into the development of a final product
  • Oversees the development/validation of statements of work to ensure completeness and accuracy of the statements
  • Leads the integration of engineering requirements across internal and external business partners to deliver a functional end-product
  • Analyzes and resolves unusually complex design and manufacturing problems to improve engineering and manufacturing processes
  • Oversees the validation of engineering data
  • Leads integrated engineering meetings to resolve complex problems and document solutions related to processes and procedure

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

 

  • 9+ years of experience working conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables
  • 5+ years of experience working 2D/3D wire routing
  • 5+ years of experience with CATIA
  • 5+ years of experience with ENOVIA
  • 3 + years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specification

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

 

  • Experience creating structural/mechanical designs using Catia & Enovia
  • Current/Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance or a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) is a PLUS (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • experience working conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables
  • experience with CATIA
  • experience with ENOVIA
  • experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

 

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will work a hybrid schedule and will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+7 years' related work experience, 11 years' related work experience, etc.).
