Position Overview Candor is currently looking to fill an exciting full time Sr. Software Engineer, Mortgage position within our underwriting product group in Alpharetta, GA. This job will involve mortgage system integration work in Encompass and other mortgage loan origination systems as needed. Experience (5+ Years) with full-stack .NET (C#/MVC/ASP.NET Core) and back-end database development (MS SQL, My SQL, and DynamoDB) is required.

Intermediate development experience within Encompass Developer Connect and preferably Partner Connect is necessary for success in this role. Experience with API development (using and consuming) for other Loan Origination Systems (LOS), mortgage Point of Sale (POS) platforms and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools is helpful.

Beginner to Intermediate AWS development expertise is desired as is experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.

With this position you may be asked to learn additional low-code toolsets to contribute in other areas of our product, so a passion for determining and using the “right tool for the job” is needed. This position will require the completion of a skills test as part of the selection process.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Build web UIs in Encompass Partner Connect for our product as well as use the Developer Connect APIs to move data and documents into and out of Encompass in support of our product suite
2. Learn new LOS APIs and work with a team to produce high quality, high performance APIs and user interfaces to configure how these APIs are used.
3. Architect, design, develop and release quality web based and middle tier software products using Visual Studio
4. Use, creation and unit testing of APIs used within secure financial services transactions where high volume data and document processing must occur
5. Develop and tune stored procedures within several database engines as listed
6. Write development documentation and unit test plans for the products developed
7. Work with an Agile scrum master to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget

Skills / Attributes Required

1. 
   
2. 5+ years of Encompass Developer or Partner Connect is desired
3. Advanced MS-Visual Studio C#, MVC, and RESTful APIs experience utilizing the C# language
4. Experience integrating with major mortgage platforms and business intelligence systems required
5. Highly motivated and able to work independently to achieve a desired result
6. Willing to work in new technologies as available to speed the development process
7. Excited to understand end-user requirements and suggest changes to applications that can improve efficiencies and user productivity
8. Beginner to intermediate experience in web and SQL database clustering
9. Strong self-sufficiency and architecture initiative while working on multiple database projects.
10. Exceptional writing and documentation skills as well as experience in GitHub
11. Ability and desire to learn new technologies and methods is key
12. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred, but demonstrated experience can replace this requirement
13. Microsoft certifications desired
