Overview:
We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Senior Manager, Commercial Marketing. Reporting directly to the Senior Sales Director, this role will create demand via the development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing growth plans across our product portfolio. The candidate will develop global marketing strategies for the business segments, develop global demand generation marketing campaigns, and guide the execution of supporting activities, including digital programs, customer engaging programs and events, and sales activation and support programs. In support of the global marketing strategies, you will collaborate with business teams, regional marketing, digital marketing and commercial teams for the development and implementation of comprehensive programs that will drive growth and ensure that region reaches or exceeds AOP. The candidate will also manage the regional demand generation and insides sales teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development and implementation of differentiated marketing programs that enable the TA business strategy, driving awareness, demand generation, and revenue growth above targets
- Drive effective go-to-market strategies and tactics that increase customer acquisition, retention, and expansion, by communicating clear value to target audiences and managing the marketing mix across the buyer’s journey to increase quality and velocity
- Collaborate with key partners, e.g., business teams, product solutions, regional marketing, commercial sales, to develop compelling marketing strategies and tactics
- Develop and drive effective utilization of customer-facing marketing assets, including content, creative concepts, and customer claims for utilization across all commercial channels
- Manage and coach demand generation and insides sales teams and create KPIs to ensure they meets business objectives
- Ensure measurement of marketing performance by establishing, measuring, and analyzing marketing performance data (KPIs and other metrics) to achieve program maximum impact within budget
- Contribute to thought leadership, PR, branding, events and other tactical or strategic marketing projects and teams as needed
- Coordinate with marketing leadership and contribute as needed to annual processes such as Strategic Planning, annual marketing planning and AOP planning
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a combination of education, knowledge, competencies, and experience that would include the following:
- Minimum of a degree in physical, materials science, life sciences or engineering with relevant technical experience to understand highly complex technical products and market to technical customer audience. MBA preferred
- Minimum 7+ years of digital marketing and demand generation experience
- Broad functional experience in the fundamentals of marketing across the customer buying journey, from strategy to campaign development and execution
- Proven experience translating business capabilities and complex technical information into clear, compelling, and differentiated value propositions, positioning messaging, creative and marketing collateral.
- Expertise in customer segmentation, audience creation, and targeting
- Experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced, multinational company and getting results in a matrixed management operating environment
- Good understanding of materials science markets and end use customers; Sales experience a major plus
- Effective communicator (verbal, written, presentations), with proven ability to influence through a straight-forward style of communication
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
- Advanced commercial and business acumen; ability to recognize growth opportunities and capitalize on them
- Working knowledge of CRM, Google analytics, social media campaign analytics and marketing automation tools
- Confidence and effectiveness in advocating for the advancement of marketing initiatives - value and impact - to the wider organization
- Able to travel up to 30% globally
