Job Description:

The Special Assistant to the Vicar General for Digital Engagement oversees the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston's digital media campaign operations by lending their expertise to multiple parts of a media campaign: from ideation, media selection, negotiation, and client
work; to media execution and optimization. This individual will be the liaison between multiple teams, including the media creators, activators, and ministry and administrative partners in the Pastoral Center. This dynamic position requires extensive hands-on interaction with different media types and active collaboration with multiple teams, making every workday different.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with multiple media types, including programmatic audio, video, display ads, marketing and mailing solicitations, native ads, and social media platforms.
  • Simultaneously managing various media campaigns from ideation to completion.
  • Collaborating with Pastoral Center partners and media planners to set goals, troubleshoot, and execute campaigns.
  • Analyzing the short and long-term impacts of a media campaign.
  • Selecting the best media types for campaigns.
  • Working with media creators through the conceptualization, development, design, and production processes.
  • Identifying the optimal programmatic platforms to use for the campaign.
  • Developing and presenting robust digital media plans based on Pastoral Center partners’ goals and Archdiocesan objectives.
  • Assisting with website management for Pastoral Center partners.
  • Staying updated on the latest trends and best practices in digital content.
  • Sharing content across multiple media channels.
  • Monitoring media analytics and insights.
  • Configuring SEO.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have a degree in marketing, media arts, advertising, or business management; expertise with distribution methods to manage content created by various departments and ministries; a very positive and motivating presence; as well as a deep understanding and appreciation of the Catholic Church and its practices.
