TypeScript Developer (Backend or Fullstack) - Remote (US & LATAM Candidates)

We are seeking an experienced TypeScript Developer based in the U.S. or Latin America for a full-time contract opportunity. This is a 100% remote role with flexibility to overlap U.S. Central Time (CT) hours.

What You’ll Do

1. Design, build, and maintain scalable applications using TypeScript across the backend (Node.js, Express, NestJS) and optionally the frontend (React).
2. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA to deliver high-quality user experiences.
3. Build and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs; integrate with third-party services and internal microservices.
4. Implement secure, high-performance solutions on AWS using services like Lambda, API Gateway, RDS/DynamoDB, and S3.
5. Apply modern CI/CD practices using tools like GitHub Actions, Docker, and Terraform.
6. Write clean, testable, and maintainable code using TypeScript and testing frameworks like Jest or Cypress.
7. Participate in agile ceremonies (Scrum or Kanban), contribute to technical discussions, and perform code reviews.
8. Continuously improve application performance, scalability, and security posture.

What We’re Looking For

1. 3+ years of hands-on experience with TypeScript, including frameworks like Node.js, Express, or NestJS.
2. (Optional) Experience with React, Hooks, and state management tools like Redux or Zustand.
3. Proficiency in database design with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB.
4. Comfortable working with cloud-native solutions on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, CloudWatch).
5. Familiarity with DevOps tooling, Git workflows, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
6. Strong understanding of software engineering principles (SOLID, Clean Code, design patterns).
7. Good communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively in remote environments.

Bonus

1. Experience with serverless architecture and event-driven systems.
2. Exposure to authentication systems (OAuth2, JWT, Cognito) and best practices for securing web apps.
3. Familiarity with microservices and messaging queues (SQS, Kafka, or similar).
4. Experience with Next.js, Prisma, or other modern frameworks and ORMs.
5. Knowledge of observability tools (Datadog, ELK, Prometheus, etc.).
