More than 200 neighborhoods in the Charlotte area use StreetFair to hire local home maintenance companies, share reviews, and join together to get group discounts for services homeowners need anyway! About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a local, energetic Social Media Assistant to join our team. As a Social Media Assistant, you’ll tap into local social media groups to help neighbors and spread the word about StreetFair. You’ll do this by connecting with group members and administrators, answering questions, sharing relevant resources, and creating unique content. As a tuned-in community member, you will also help research and identify neighborhood and community events, sponsorship opportunities, and meet-ups.

This role is part-time, an independent contract, and completely flexible. Tasks can be completed on your own time. You should be able to contribute 3-5 hours each month.

You must be a homeowner and resident in a qualifying Charlotte area neighborhood to be considered for this role: Ballantyne, Huntersville, Mooresville, Fort Mill, Weddington, Davidson, Myers Park, Dilworth, South Park, Cotswold, etc.

What you’ll do:

- Join and engage in relevant social media groups across channels like Facebook, NextDoor, Reddit, and Instagram.

- Connect with neighbors, influencers, community leaders, and small business owners.

- Create and share StreetFair content on social media including posts, replies, reels, giveaways, etc.

- Respond to posters asking for home maintenance recommendations and share relevant resources.

- Research hyperlocal community events and sponsorship opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

- Local talent: You must be a homeowner and resident in a Charlotte area neighborhood to be considered for this role.

- Excellent written communication skills.

- Genuine enthusiasm for our mission: to help neighbors help each other, unleashing the power of a local community.

- Proficiency in creating content and sharing via social media.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 5 per week
