Position Overview

Social Catfish is searching for a dynamic Social Media Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in our expanding Social Media team. This role entails crafting compelling content and conveying Social Catfish's core messages across a range of social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. Your mission: drive measurable growth and engagement within our burgeoning social community. Collaborating closely with our Marketing Lead, you'll have the exciting opportunity to shape a distinctive voice and strategy across Social Catfish's social accounts, expanding our already rapidly growing online presence by spearheading creative, multi-channel initiatives with the support of our wider marketing team.

As our Social Media Marketing Manager, you'll be responsible for creating distinctive content for our social media platforms, actively contributing to the development of our influencer program, and engaging with our followers. Additionally, you should be comfortable in front of the camera, as you'll be creating content for various online social platforms.

Our ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in conceptualizing, developing, and scaling successful social media content, leveraging various software and tools available through Adobe and different social media platforms. A proven track record of driving community and influencer growth, combined with strong creative skills, an action-oriented mindset, an on-camera presence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, occasionally ambiguous environment, will set you apart.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy Development: Create both short-term and long-term content strategies for continuous channel management and growth across existing and new social media platforms. Utilize data-driven insights to inform content planning.
  • Engagement Enhancement: Elevate engagement levels across social media channels, positioning Social Catfish as a proactive and empathetic thought leader in the people search space. Leverage data analysis and performance metrics to drive engagement strategies.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure consistent brand messaging and professionalism in copywriting, maintaining a unified tone, voice, and terminology across all social media platforms.
  • Community Cultivation: Foster the growth of the community around Social Catfish's mission and technology, including daily moderation and direct communication with customers, influencers, and the broader audience.
  • Narrative Alignment: Collaborate closely with content, marketing, and Social Catfish leadership teams to align and effectively disseminate priority narratives across social media channels.
  • Best Practices & Tools: Stay up-to-date with social media best practices, performance metrics, data analysis methodologies, and tools. Evaluate and implement social media automation and listening tools as the program expands.
  • Process Enhancement: Define and improve processes by documenting standard operating procedures and creating playbooks for both new and ongoing processes. This includes areas such as social listening, social content publishing, and channel partnerships.
  • Content Creation Collaboration: Collaborate with designers and video editors to develop editorial and promotional content from scratch, ensuring it aligns with brand messaging and engages the target audience.
  • KPI Measurement: Work in partnership with the Marketing team to establish, measure, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content performance, enabling continuous optimization of social media strategies.
  • Competitor Analysis: Maintain continuous awareness of competitors' social media presence and strategies, leveraging insights to inform and improve Social Catfish's own social media approach.
  • Stay well-versed in social media best practices, performance metrics, data analysis methodologies, and tools; evaluate social media automation and listening tools as the program expands.
  • Define and enhance processes through standard operating procedure documentation and playbooks for both new and ongoing processes, such as social listening, social content publishing, and channel partnerships.
  • Collaborate with designers and video editors to create editorial and promotional content from scratch.
  • Work in tandem with the Marketing team to establish, measure, and report content KPIs, enabling continuous optimization.
  • Maintain a constant awareness of competitors' social presence and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in social media and community engagement, with a strong background in content creation for a brand or relevant organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a unique voice, establish a company presence, and cultivate an audience across multiple social media platforms.
  • Proven examples of social media marketing successes and achievements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational prowess, and multitasking abilities.
  • A self-starter with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
  • Proficiency in video editing, Adobe tools, and social media platforms like TikTok, as well as design experience, is essential.
  • Familiarity with current social media trends is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
