Job Description:

Good trivia is for everyone. That’s our motto at Geeks Who Drink, and we need a creative and talented Social Media and Content Manager to help build our audiences and keep on proving it to the world.

We are seeking someone with the skills to create and maintain a strong digital presence for current customers and new consumers. Working with the Director of Marketing, you will manage various digital platforms that encourage consumer engagement and play a role in the consumer decision journey: Awareness, Consideration, Conversion, and Loyalty.

This means developing channel-specific content marketing plans and cross-platform content strategies and executional tactics for B2B and B2C service lines. You’ll also be responsible for the formation, execution, and management of email, social media, SEO/SEM, and site personalization with short- and long-term marketing goals. You will execute all marketing campaigns, and establish a dashboard of success metrics in order to achieve KPIs and ensure the overall effectiveness of GWD-branded digital content.

The Manager will regularly assess our channels to identify content gaps where new content can enhance the consumer experience. While reviewing inventory on our existing content banks from various internal and external sources, regular recommendations should be assessed and made for blog, email, and social channels.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on and execute content strategy for social media channels including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter
  • Create, source, and plan timely content that engages current followers while reaching new target customers, including managing brand partnerships and influencers
  • Build out and maintain a comprehensive content calendar that aligns with brand voice and company initiatives
  • Support new campaign launches to drive brand awareness and acquisition
  • Track content performance and perform regular analysis to make informed changes to strategy, creating a dynamic measurement dashboard of success
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and tools to continue to evolve social strategy
  • Manage organic & paid social media content development across all active social media channels to drive business objectives, product priorities, and culture trends. Determining content that will drive top engagement.
  • Manage the social community and create opportunities for dialogue with customers across channels
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop the annual and long-term channel strategy that meets the needs of the brand’s awareness goals and matches the resources available between internal and external teams.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop campaign content for Paid Social Campaigns and identify KPIs that may require the implementation of digital tools for engagement or conversion
  • Manage and review influencer content for execution that meets the brand equity, brand tagging and strategic linking to owned channels
  • Aligning and collaborating with external sponsors on strategic priorities and campaign support
  • Partner with our new and existing customers to support their promotional goals and needs
  • Accountable for a clearly defined organic social and channel strategy and identify content opportunities that contribute to awareness and consideration and follow best practices for the channel

Your Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Marketing, Communications or related field, with 3-5 years of experience in Social Media, Brand Communications, or a related Digital Marketing function
  • Google analytics and Adwords certification preferred
  • Ability to analyze data and make sound recommendations that affect the social media KPIs as well as the total business
  • Strong knowledge of and demonstrable experience in growing visibility and engagement across social platforms
  • Video editing skills and understanding of breakthrough technologies to make content that excites and entices people
  • Excellent multitasker
  • You aren’t afraid to speak your mind, evaluate situations, and then come back with results focused improvements
  • Flexible and can work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to discover current trends and respond to cultural moments appropriately and efficiently
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, like, editorial, operations, sales, and any agency partners to ensure brand consistency
  • Experience in media or entertainment is preferred, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
